FishList is a place to make wishlists from links to products you find online. This page says, in plain English, what we keep and why.
What we keep
- Your lists. The links you paste, and the names, pictures, prices and notes for each item.
- Your email address, only if you choose to save your list. We use it to confirm it's you, to let you come back to your list, and to send things you ask for (such as price alerts, when they arrive).
- A guest session. When you start a list without an account, your browser keeps a small file so the list is still there when you come back. It's essential to the service, so we don't need to ask for consent for it. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on FishList.
Guest lists
Lists made without saving an email are deleted after 30 days without any activity.
Shops and links
When you paste a link, our server fetches that one page to read its name, picture and price. The page isn't kept. We don't put your name or email in that request. In future, buying through a link on FishList may earn us a small commission from the shop. It never changes the price you pay, and the shop may set its own cookies once you leave FishList.
Who helps us run FishList
- Supabase, which holds our database and handles sign-in.
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and our page reader.
- Postmark, which will send our emails.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@fishlist.co.uk. Removing an item from your list deletes it.
